Summer '10

"Summer 2010. Let it begin."
Great things about the summer:
warm weather, sunshine, sand, tanlines, sleeping in, swimming, staying out all night, birds chirping, flip flops, ankle bracelets, belly flops, green grass, sprinklers, sunglasses, bikinis, sundresses, nightswimming, shells, riding my bike, convertibles, traveling, tank tops, baseball games, beach volleyball, cool drinks, boys, fireworks, concerts, tubing, the sound of crickets, bonfires, grilling, waterskiing, good music, partying, sailing, windows down, sunsets, sandcastles, snow cones, siestas, slip 'n' slides, arnold palmers, boardwalks, waterparks, diving boards, water balloons, jetskiing, surfing, tailgating, road trips, rope swings, extra hours of daylight, scoping out eye candy at the beach, frisbees, boating, watermelons, camping, lighthouses, walking barefoot, sunrises, amusement parks, bumper cars, ice cream trucks that are banned from pretty much everywhere in the northshore, fruit, burgers, street fairs, henna, farmer's market, grandparent's lakehouse, drive in movies, white water rafting, summer flings, fourth of july, trampolines, marco polo, lemonade, sunburn turning into tan, concession stands, hot dogs, hammocks, popsicles, sea food, hot lifeguards, hot tubs, s'mores, natural highlights, golfing, freckles, not knowing what you are going to do tomorrow, short skirts, butterflies, seagulls, True Blood, reading what I want, evenings, just chillin, rainy days, the smell after a rainy day, rainbows, fresh salads, flowers, pranks, a ton of bracelets, getting in trouble, sneaking out, picnics, taking photos, chalk, smoothies, staying up all night, walking, teepeeing, shopping, prettier colors on clothes, hiking, going downtown, docks, fishing, fireflies, iced tea, nailpolish, pina colladas, coconuts, wimbledon, no uniform, corona and lime, relaxation, boogy boarding, having fun!

Summer is a time not only to relax, but to party!. A time to be a reckless teenager again. Summer is a new beginning. We are done with school, what now? We can finally be who we want to be without being judged or punished for it. Especially this summer, I've decided this summer, being the first year I don't have summer school, will be the summer that I learn more about myself. Also, the summer to have the best time of my life. I want this to be a summer to remember. I'm going to sneak out, and stay out all night. I'm gonna be a reckless teenager. So, my new beginning is to wipe away all the stress and drama I have had this school year. I'm finally a senior and I don't want to look back at this summer seeing drama, frustration, and stress. We should all do this. I know I am not the only one with these problems. We have to treat everyday like it is sacred, like it is our last. We cannot be afraid to fail. We have to stay optimistic. We should dance in the rain and embrace the blazing hot sun. We should be ourselves and break out of our comfort zone. We have to find new friendships and re-kindle the old ones. We should laugh until we cry. We should stick together. We should tell each other secrets. And finally, we should look for summer love!

"Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They're shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the Heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity and in a flash they're gone."   -The Notebook
Summer love...who doesn't want it? Well, girls at least. Let's just admit it: we all would kill to have a boyfriend in the summer, a summer fling. We all know that if we did, then THAT would be our summer to remember. There's been countless movies about it.  Countless songs. Its the best to imagine having one: sneaking out at night, staying at the beach all day, driving in his convertible, going to movies together, him teaching you how to play pool (haha I have a really random imagination), sitting around a bonfire together, making out at sunset, etc... Does anybody else wish we could live in a world where boys weren't afraid to ask us out? Haha maybe we should start a revolution and ask boys out ourselves. I know girls do do that, but I'm way too shy and old-fashioned. Happy summer everyone! Have a great time! Seize the day!

"Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood." -Henry Wadsworth Longfello
"Sun is shining. Weather is sweet. Make you wanna move your dancing feet."  -Bob Marley
"Sunny days, party nights, hot guys
water fights, pretty hair, tanned skin

"Summer love . midnight kisses . shooting stars . secret wishes"
"Summer 2009 was fine, but summer 2010 is where it all will begin."
"Blue skies, Hot Guys; Late Nights, Water Fights; ice creams, Swim Suits; Summer '10."
"Partying like crazy, you know the drill, tanning all day, nights dressed to kill, nothing is going to replace these days. Oh so sweet summer vacation, life in the heat."
"Beach sand, perfect tans. Day walks, night talks. Sleepless nights, pillow fights. & spending every day with  those who matter most."
"A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken."
"A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows."  -St. Francis of Assisi

So many great summer songs too....so I just randomly chose one.
